About the workshop
This workshop will provide a high-level overview of IoT sensors, including different types of sensors, sensor compute platforms, communication mechanisms, sensor power strategies, and edge compute. The workshop will also discuss the importance of digital twin and data platforms in receiving and processing sensor data. Participants will have a better understanding of how to select sensors, how to tailor those selections to their unique problem, and some of the pros and cons of different approaches.
Participants will also understand integrating with pre-existing sensors, challenges with data quality, sensor maintenance requirements, and the benefits of an integrated sensor data and management platform. Finally, participants will learn how to select net-new and pre-existing sensor integration to support business decisions and enable AI and advanced analytics. Participants will also be offered a chance to ask questions about their projects in the context of sensor selection.
